We are a husband and wife originally from the east coast of the lower 48. Both of us teach here in Barrow, at the middle school.
We want this site to be about life in the arctic, as well as provide information about other parts of Alaska. We will both post to it, and we hope to include posts written by some of our students in the future.
Please check in often and experience life at the top of the world!

Howdy ho neighbors! Thought I'd stop by and visit the new digs. Very nice, but it feels colder here. Excuse me while I look for a jacket.
Nice.
I am your first Bloglines subscriber, dude! I wholehearted support you in your endeavors North - and everything else that follows. XO
Oh I love this, and I love your header... plus one more to add to my "lines"!
This is going to be AWESOME if we do the Iditarod next year. I try not to do it every year because I have the same kids for four years, I'm afraid they will get bored. They enjoy that unit so much. They usually talk me into doing it every year. :)
I'm with Kris, I love your header.
Brrrrr!
Great photo! Does everyone know what they are? You should have a contest.
We see things like that around here, too... and, one day, I should tell the story of the humpback of Cappyhaden...I was able to get up close and personal with him!
